is fable 5 actually worse at debugging now or is my one bad day coloring this

i run a small shop, not technical, i just use it to fix the little scripts that hold my store together. since the july 1 relaunch it keeps refusing or hedging on stuff it used to just do. yesterday a plain null check ask got some safety-ish deflection. is this the classifier thing people mention or am i pattern matching off 3 bad prompts? want to know before i downgrade my $100 plan
