is claude the same app as claude code or two diffrent things im confused
ok so i signed up like 2 days ago and everyone keeps saying claude code but i thought i was already using claude?? is it a seperate download or the same thing. sorry if this is dumb i genuinly cant tell. at my old warehouse job we had this scanner software that had like 3 versions and nobody knew which one to open so i got flashbacks lol

not confusing at all once someone tells you, i was stuck on this too. 1) claude is the chat app/website, you just type at it. 2) claude code is a separate coding tool that runs in a terminal and needs a paid plan. same company, same models under the hood, totally different thing you open. if you dont code you basically never touch claude code.
