ive been running the free tiers of claude chatgpt and gemini side by side for a few weeks now because i run a tiny two person business and i cannot justify paying for three of these. and honestly the more i test the less sure i get, which is not the answer i wanted going in. chatgpt is the easiest to just hand to my business partner who is not technical at all. claude writes our client emails in a way that doesnt make me wince. gemini eats the giant pdf contracts nobody wants to read. every one of them is the best at exactly the thing im not currently doing. so im asking the people who already committed. if you locked yourself to one $20 plan for a year, which and do you regret it. im less worried about benchmarks and more about the boring day to day of actually living with one of them.
