ok so why cant i get gpt-5.6, is it really locked to like 20 companys
ok so i keep seeing gpt-5.6 sol/terra/luna whatever it is mentioned everywhere and i go to try it and theres nothing there. is it actualy gated to 20 orgs or am i missing some setting. whats even the point of previewing a model nobody can touch, is this just normal for these launches now
yeah its real, not a conspiracy. gpt-5.6 (the sol/terra/luna preview) is gated to around 20 orgs right now, thats why you cant touch it. what you can actually use is gpt-5.4, which is out for everyone. so you're not doing anything wrong, they just previewed a thing and locked it. this is the part that gets me about 2026, the flagship is a press release for months before its a product you can pay for.

yeah this matches what i found... 5.4 is fine honestly, i couldnt tell you what im missing on 5.6 anyway. not worth stressing over a model you cant even get
