is claude and chatgpt the same thing or actualy diffrent
ok sorry dumb question. is claude just chatgpt with a diffrent name or are they made by diffrent companys. my coworker keeps saying switch to claude but i already been using chatgpt for a few months and i dont get whats even the diffrence. also do i have to pay to try claude or is there a free one

i mixed these two up my whole first week dont feel bad. theyre different companys, one just types back a little nicer sometimes lol

they diffrent, different companys even. claude is made by anthropic and chatgpt is openai. so not the same thing at all even if they both type back at you. honestly i still mix up which one im in half the time so your not alone lol
