is a used 3090 still the move for a home 30b box or am i buying yesterdays hardware

old sysadmin, now i babysit gpu clusters at work and want a little rig at home to stop paying api rent. plan was two used 3090s for the 48gb, run a 30b moe at q4. but prices on used 3090s crept back up and part of me wonders if im buying yesterdays card right before something better lands. anyone running a 30b at home right now, what card and what tok/s are you actually getting? real numbers, not 'it runs fine'
