mcp servers for solo devs - actually worth the setup time or is it overkill

been reading about mcp and the notion/figma/postgres connectors and trying to figure out if its worth setting up when im just one person working on side projects. like the idea is cool but is the roi actually there for someone whos not on a team? the setup docs make it look like a weekend project minimum and im wondering if im better off just copy-pasting context manually for now. anyone here running mcp solo and finding it actually saves time vs the maintenance overhead?
